The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated on May 5th on lunarcalendar.It is a folk festival widely spread with a history of over 2,000 years, and is one of the most important Chinese festivals as well. There are various celebrating activities on that day, among which the customs of eating rice dumplings and dragon boat racing are quite important. Wansheng Party branch organized an activity of making rice dumpling during this festival.
After soaking for 2 hours, the good glutinous rice becomes "beautiful and mellow", add raw sauce and salt to stir well. Wash and cut off the fresh pork belly. And add the appropriate amount of soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, white wine, pickled after a night sending out a light sauce fragrance. These ingredients and fresh leaves and reed ropes are neatly listed on the long table of the staff canteen. It is the site of rice dumplings making.

I saw the masters neatly picked up the fresh green reed leaves, slowly fold into a conical funnel, spread a layer of glutinous rice under it first, compact it with a spoon, add a large piece of sauced pork and compact with rice, finally with the tail of the leaves wrapped tightly, tie the knot firmly with a cotton rope, such a beautiful rice dumpling was finished.
